I have completed the Lamentations portion of my Study Bible. It is available for download at http://insightbible.googlepages.com/download. Please download it and check it out. I have made significant changes from the limited previous I release a while back. I have called it the 'Preview Version' because the final version will be a complete book.
Note the wide margins (for personal note taking), cross-references and outline section, just some of the useful features I have incorporated. The final version may have some minor changes from what you see, but the layout will mostly be as you see it now.

Update
I have only recently completed the bulk of Lamentations and will post it for download in the next couple of days. I still have some cross-references to add, but I will not have many because a) it is alot of work and b) I prefer to add my own cross-references, as do many others.

Sneak Preview!
Please click on the link below to check out a in-progress preview of my Study Bible. It consists the first three pages of the book of Lamentations. It is NOT complete yet. I am hoping to expand the cross-references (in the side margin) and add more extra-Biblical information.

Update
After alot of playing around trying different software and getting used to Scribus, I have finally made some progress. I have begun at the book of Lamentations because this is where I am up to in my personal Bible reading schedule, and also because it is a relatively small book.
I have made some formatting changes to the ASV text to account for the Hebrew acrostic poetry style of Lamentations.

Purpose
I have created this blog to track my progress in a project to create a study Bible. I will be using Scribus for page layout, and public domain text and images for the Bible. The text will be the American Standard Version because 1) it is public domain, 2) it has a reputation for being a sound and honest translation, and 3) it uses 'Jehovah' in the Old Testament instead of 'LORD'. I will output the final version as a PDF so it can be easily printed and transmitted over the Web.
